About Us
CRCOG is the largest of Connecticut’s regional planning organizations. We are established under the CGS as a voluntary association of municipal governments serving Hartford and 37 surrounding communities. CRCOG serves these municipalities by: helping members improve governmental efficiency through shared services; promoting efficient transportation systems, responsible land use and preservation of natural resources, and effective economic development; strengthening the Hartford area as the core of a strong region, and as our economic, social and cultural center; advocating for its towns with the State and Federal governments; and assisting local governments in implementing the vision, needs and values of their regional community.
