For more than two decades, the Capitol Region Education Council has been offering cooperative purchasing benefits to CT schools, towns and non-profits. We competitively bid contracts on a state and national level, to alleviate the burden of bidding for you, and to secure deep discounts by aggregating spend. The CREC Cooperative Purchasing MarketPlace includes contract awards to over 60 vendor partners and is widely recognized as a valid purchasing option. $75M was purchased through our program in 2022.
All of our vendor information can be found in an online purchasing platform called the CREC MarketPlace. Each vendor has a landing page where you can view contract information, download informational pieces, and see who our representative is. You can use the Search option to compare vendor products and prices, build a cart for one or multiple vendors, and place your order right through the MarketPlace. You can also streamline staff orders through one point person.
