About Us

Since 1956, municipalities throughout Connecticut have relied on the expertise of Hooker & Holcombe (H&H) in achieving innovative solutions for their defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Our goal is to help provide Connecticut cities and towns with a holistic approach to their retirement plan programs.

The firm was founded as a full-service actuarial firm. As our clients’ needs grew, our services evolved to meet those needs. Today, our broad offerings include a full array of online plan administration, consulting, and institutional investment advisory services for all types of employer-based retirement plans including pension, OPEB, cash balance, 401(k), 403(b), 457, and 401(a) plans.

Helping our clients understand their fiduciary responsibility is one of the most important roles we play, and we are always evolving our offerings in this area. Our Fiduciary Committee training session assist plan sponsors in demonstrating their proactive efforts to provide appropriate fiduciary training of committee members to auditors, the board, and other oversight parties.
